WiMAX Forum
The WiMAX Forum™ is working to facilitate the deployment of broadband wireless networks based on the IEEE 802.16 standard by helping to ensure the compatibility and inter-operability of broadband wireless access equipment. The organization is a nonprofit association formed in 2003 by equipment and component suppliers to promote the adoption of IEEE 802.16 compliant equipment by operators of broadband wireless access systems.

Project Nomad
Project Nomad – the National Project supported by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, and owned by Cambridgeshire County Council met its objective is to create, under one umbrella, a comprehensive set of deliverables to enable any local authority wanting to establish a mobile working operation to do so with ease and confidence. Current plans are to continue to promote mobile and flexible working, making use of mobile technology, via this website, through events, through partnership and collaborations with local authorities, Regional Centres of Excellence and other organisations. We are currently establishing a Project Nomad ‘Forum’ of local authorities and registered/sponsor suppliers who will meet regularly to decide the course and direction of future Project Nomad mobile working initiatives.

NATOA
The National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) is a national association that represents the communications needs and interests of local governments, and those who advise local governments. Our membership is predominately composed of local government agencies, local government staff and public officials, as well as consultants, attorneys, and engineers who consult local governments on their telecommunciations needs. Our government members have responsibilities that range from cable administration, telecommunications franchising, rights-of-way management and governmental access programming to information technologies and INET planning and management. We have members from not-for-profit organizations whose needs and interests are complementary to those of NATOA's members and we have members who are vendors to local governments, and telecommunications providers of all types of services to and for local governments.
