Seoul '07 서울 '07 디지털 시티 컨벤션 행사

The 13th Digital Cities Convention in Seoul brought together broadband-wireless field practitioners from Asia-PAC and North America for a day and a half of deployment updates and best-practice sharing on the wireless infrastructure and applications opportunity for cities. The conference was co-organized by W2i and the Korean IT International Cooperation Agency, and was hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government.

Following major citywide broadband-wireless rollouts in Taipei, Singapore and Seoul, and excitement around wireless planning for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, widespread adoption of broadband-wireless solutions is expected to accelerate rapidly across Asia-PAC in the coming years. At the same time, local authorities seek answers to questions about the technology, business models, and regulatory landscape, and they want to know more about the applications—for mobile workers and citizens—these networks can enable at the metro-scale.

대만과 서울에서의 도시 광대역 무선 네트워크 설치와 2008년 베이징 올림픽 준비에 대한 기대에 부응하여 광대역 무선 네트워크 채택은 향후 수 년에 걸쳐 아시아 대서양 전 지역에 확산될 것으로 전망됩니다. 동시에 지역 정부들은 기술, 사업 모델, 관계 규정 등에 대한 자문을 구하고 있으며 공공기관과 시민의 편의에 도움을 주는 모바일 네트워크 확산 관련 어플리케이션을 찾고 있습니다.
