07/12/2007 1.Chehalis (WA) Proposals for Downtown WiFi Due July 24, 2007 The City of Chehalis, Washington is requesting proposals from firms interested in providing wireless Internet service for downtown Chehalis. The City of Chehalis wants to provide WiFi wireless Internet access throughout its downtown districts, primarily for use by tourists and other visitors. This service would allow users with laptops or PDA to access the Internet throughout the desired coverage areas, both while inside buildings and outdoors. The primary user activities would be Internet surfing and email, with occasional use for more bandwidth-intensive activities such as streaming video or voice-over-internet. Given the nature of the targeted user base, the total number of simultaneous users would not be likely to exceed 100. Project description available here . • More
