1.Madison County (IL) Transit District Wi-Fi for 80 Buses
Request for Proposals (RFP) Wi-Fi Internet Access for Transit Buses No. 08-1-00702 for the Madison County Mass Transit District are due on Thursday, May 15, 2008 for the installation and maintenance of Wi-Fi service on up to 80 fixed route buses. A complete bid package, including detailed specifications, may be obtained from the District's by calling (618) 797-4600. The RFP will be posted in the Government Wireless Business Opportunity Database as soon as it is emailed to MultiState Associates.

2.Canton (OH) Seeks Free Wi-Fi for .5 Square Mile
City of Canton, Ohio is requesting that a company design and build a wireless infrastructure with internet access for its 0.5 square mile downtown area.  Please note that your response must outline and/or address whether or not you can complete the following: 1. The wireless infrastructure must support wireless internet access by the general public. 2. Access to the general public must be free of charge for a minimum of two (2) hours (non-contiguous) per day. 3. This project must be at no cost to the City of Canton or its taxpayers. 4. The design, installation, operation of the network, maintenance of equipment and any upgrades to that equipment and its firmware and/or software is the responsibility of the company awarded the job. Qualifications are due May 28, 2008.
