08/28/2008Wireless Video Surveillance at the DNC and RNC Conventions
Both Denver and St. Paul have received millions in federal grant money to provide security during this summer's Democratic and Republican National Conventions, including the provision of substantial downtown wireless video surveillance systems implemented by Maryland-based Avrio Group. On September 30, W2i will host a 60-minute Webinar with Lt. Ernest Martinez of the Denver Police Department, Commander Tim Lynaugh of the St. Paul Police Department and Avrio Group to explore key questions and lessons learned from these high-profile deployments: - What does an integrated, multi-agency, multi-application approach look like?
- How did Avrio Group pull together all the stakeholders for these large projects, and what were some of the challenges?
- What applications were enabled by the cameras in downtown Denver and St. Paul?
- How did these systems answer to local officials' concerns about safety at these events?
To participate at this exciting session, be sure to register free.
