The City of Lansing, Michigan, on behalf of numerous public safety agencies within Ingham County, Michigan, is seeking proposals to create a high-speed wireless data communication infrastructure for the purposes of enhancing law enforcement communication in the field. Proposals are being sought from national wireless carriers only. Proposals from distributors, agents, brokers, or retail stores will not be considered. It is required that the traffic not be transmitted over a network available to the general public. All traffic must be segmented into private customer networks, with the ability to route data traffic to individual destinations based on the needs of each partner agency. At a minimum, the vendor shall have a nationwide network of wireless data transmission facilities. No frequency is specified.
