Since the passage of the federal budget last month, grants have been coming out much earlier than in previous years, a result of impending political change in Washington, DC, and a drive to award grants before the heat of the election consumes everyone’s attention. More

Proposals for a point-to-point wireless connection will be received by Rice County until Monday, February 25, 2008, at the Office of the Auditor/Treasurer. Complete specifications are available from Elert & Associates, 140 3rd Street, Stillwater Minnesota, pete.gray@elert.com. A pre-bid meeting for potential bidders will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 13th, 2008, at the Government Services Building, 320 NW 3rd Street, Faribault, MN.
