In his new W2i Digital Cities workshop, Jim Farstad, president of rClient and Wireless Minneapolis's project leader, says that, in one case, the value came through a reduction in litigation costs — averaging $16,000 a case — for crimes that are now caught on mesh-enabled surveillance cameras. Dover (NH) RFP to Complete Public Wireless Phase 1 The City of Dover (NH) is requesting proposals to complete Phase 1 of a City of Dover Public Wireless Network. The City, the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce and Dover Main Street applied for a New Hampshire Division of Economic Development Telecom & Technology Match grant in June 2007. The first phase is for public use downtown; the second phase is for government use. More
