It was five years ago this fall that Tropos Networks board chairman David Hanna spoke at W2i’s first Wireless Internet and Municipal Government Summit, in Atlanta, and aimed his remarks at public safety as a driver of broadband-wireless networks, the cost savings for government, and increasing federal dollars for public-safety interoperability. In this interview, Hanna still sees those early opportunities coming to fruition around the country, overseas, and for the Philadelphia network, which he now owns with several local investors. More
